Topic: Naval ROTC at Jacksonville University by Capt Glen Leverette, USN

Join us for JaxCouncil’s Mixer on Thursday, February 8, at the new Barrique Restaurant, 3563 St John’s Ave in Avondale from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm to learn all about the first Naval ROTC Unit in Florida, at Jacksonville University.

Our guest speaker will be the new Commander of the Jacksonville University Naval ROTC Unit, and Professor of Naval Science, Captain Glen Leverette, USN, . He was born in Daytona Beach, FL and moved to Jacksonville in 1984 where he graduated from Fletcher High School and was voted “Most Likely to Succeed”. Captain Leverette is a 1990 graduate of the US Naval Academy and holds a Master of Arts from Jacksonville University. He is also a 2010 graduate of the US Naval War College.

Captain Leverette’s  most recent assignment was as Deputy Commander of US Naval Forces Korea.

Mixers are an excellent opportunity to bring guests who might be interested in getting involved with our council. Cost is $5 per member, with no charge for guests. For every guest you bring, your name will be entered into a drawing that evening for a prize. If the guest joins that evening, your name will be entered twice.
